Superintendent
Vallernaud Construction, Inc. (VCI) is seeking an experienced superintendent to lead field execution across two concurrent custom residential projects in West Los Angeles. This is a full-time, field-based position for a professional who thrives on craftsmanship, organization, and client trust. The ideal candidate brings deep technical experience, calm judgment, and the ability to keep projects clean, safe, and on schedule, all while representing VCI’s reputation for meticulous, hands-on quality.

Key Responsibilities
✅ Lead day-to-day field operations across two high-end residential projects (generally ≤4,000 SF)
✅ Maintain jobsite organization, safety, and clear communication with clients, subs, and design teams
✅ Drive schedule performance through a living 6-week lookahead (Excel) updated weekly
✅ Coordinate inspections, deliveries, and subcontractor sequencing to prevent conflicts
✅ Document daily progress with photos, logs, and RFIs — without slowing the line
✅ Conduct weekly client and internal meetings with structured agendas and follow-ups
✅ Draft change orders and collaborate with leadership for review and approval
✅ Represent VCI professionally with inspectors, architects, and homeowners
Qualifications
✔ 10+ years of field leadership or superintendent experience in high-end custom residential construction
✔ Strong background in framing, finish carpentry, or other core trades (preferred)
✔ Proven ability to manage two active projects concurrently with clean execution and accountability
✔ Proficient in Excel, Smartsheet, Google Drive, and iPad-based tools (GoodNotes); no Procore required
✔ Excellent communication, foresight, and leadership — firm but fair, calm under pressure
✔ OSHA-30 preferred; valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required

📍 Location: West Los Angeles — core zone from Marina del Rey → Pacific Palisades (405 → the beach)
🚗 Travel: Personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement after 90 days; company vehicle discussion at 1-year review
💰 Compensation: Approx. $130K–$225K/year DOE, with discretionary year-end bonus
🎁 Benefits: 4 weeks paid vacation, 1 week paid sick leave, mileage reimbursement, bonus eligibility
🕐 Schedule: Monday–Friday, ~7/8am–5pm; occasional Saturdays as needed
🏗️ Environment: Field-based role with light flexibility for scheduling/admin work from home or office
