For over 20 years, Dijeau Construction has delivered some of the Bay Areaโ€™s most exceptional custom homes. They work almost exclusively with legacy clients and their referrals โ€” people who value precision, communication, and quality above all else. They pride themselves on being the builder clients call again โ€” and the team other builders want to come work for.

Their projects are high-touch, high-design custom homes ranging from $10Mโ€“$20M+. They self-perform a significant portion of the work to ensure quality, and bring a commercial level of organization and rigor to the high-end residential space.

Key Responsibilities:

โœ… Project Leadership: Drive the full lifecycle of custom residential builds from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring delivery on time, on budget, and to Dijeauโ€™s standards.
โœ… Scheduling & Budgeting: Build and maintain project schedules (Smartsheet), track budgets and cost codes, and manage change orders using ProContractor.
โœ… Client & Team Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and architects; lead weekly OAC meetings and ensure consistent, proactive updates.
โœ… Field & Sub Coordination: Collaborate with superintendents and subs to keep work on track, troubleshoot issues, and uphold quality expectations on site.
โœ… Delegation & Oversight: Delegate effectively to APMs and project support staff while maintaining full ownership of project outcomes and client experience.

Hard Skills:

โœ” 5+ years of experience managing construction projects (ground-up preferred).
โœ” Proficiency with Smartsheet and ProContractor, or similar scheduling and cost-tracking tools.
โœ” Strong financial acumen โ€” change orders, cost coding, forecasting, and client billing.
โœ” Skilled in schedule development, critical path tracking, and preconstruction planning.
โœ” Comfortable with documentation, contracts, RFIs, submittals, and meeting management.

Soft Skills:

๐Ÿ”น Client-Facing Confidence: Communicates clearly with high-net-worth clients and design teams.
๐Ÿ”น Detail-Oriented & Financially Sharp: Tracks costs and schedule impacts with precision.
๐Ÿ”น Humble & Collaborative: Open to learning Dijeauโ€™s systems and contributing to team growth.
๐Ÿ”น Calm Under Pressure: Navigates complex projects and personalities with professionalism.
๐Ÿ”น Leadership Mindset: Delegates effectively while maintaining accountability for project success.

Benefits:

  • $150Kโ€“$165K base salary + tenure-based annual bonus
  • Full health, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) with company contribution
  • PTO and paid holidays
