Project Manager
For over 20 years, Dijeau Construction has delivered some of the Bay Areaโs most exceptional custom homes. They work almost exclusively with legacy clients and their referrals โ people who value precision, communication, and quality above all else. They pride themselves on being the builder clients call again โ and the team other builders want to come work for.
Their projects are high-touch, high-design custom homes ranging from $10Mโ$20M+. They self-perform a significant portion of the work to ensure quality, and bring a commercial level of organization and rigor to the high-end residential space.
Key Responsibilities:

Project Leadership: Drive the full lifecycle of custom residential builds from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring delivery on time, on budget, and to Dijeauโs standards.

Scheduling & Budgeting: Build and maintain project schedules (Smartsheet), track budgets and cost codes, and manage change orders using ProContractor.
โ
Client & Team Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and architects; lead weekly OAC meetings and ensure consistent, proactive updates.
โ
Field & Sub Coordination: Collaborate with superintendents and subs to keep work on track, troubleshoot issues, and uphold quality expectations on site.

Delegation & Oversight: Delegate effectively to APMs and project support staff while maintaining full ownership of project outcomes and client experience.
Hard Skills:
โ 5+ years of experience managing construction projects (ground-up preferred).
โ Proficiency with Smartsheet and ProContractor, or similar scheduling and cost-tracking tools.
โ Strong financial acumen โ change orders, cost coding, forecasting, and client billing.
โ Skilled in schedule development, critical path tracking, and preconstruction planning.
โ Comfortable with documentation, contracts, RFIs, submittals, and meeting management.
