Youโ€™ll report directly to company leadership and serve as the go-to leader responsible for preconstruction support, project execution, financial performance, and quality control from start to finish.

Travel between job sites in Napa Valley, St. Helena, and surrounding areas will be required.

Key Responsibilities:

โœ… Project Leadership & Execution:
Own project delivery from preconstruction to closeout, managing budgets, schedules, client communications, and quality control with full accountability.

โœ… Subcontractor Management & Scheduling:
Oversee subcontractor procurement, scope leveling, contract management, and milestone scheduling in collaboration with the estimating and field teams.

โœ… Client & Architect Relations:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and design teams, leading project meetings and maintaining proactive, trust-driven communications.

โœ… Document Control & Cost Management:
Manage Procore workflows including RFI, submittal tracking, change orders, purchase orders, and ongoing budget updates throughout the project lifecycle.

โœ… Team Collaboration & Field Oversight:
Work closely with Superintendents and the General Superintendent to drive field execution and resolve construction issues with a solution-oriented approach.

Hard Skills:

โœ” 5โ€“10+ years of Project Management experience, ideally in high-end residential or boutique commercial construction
โœ” Strong proficiency with Procore, MS Project, and Excel-based estimating tools
โœ” Hands-on experience with full-cycle project management, including preconstruction participation
โœ” Familiarity with luxury client expectations and high-touch project delivery methods
โœ” Bonus: Experience managing complex, historic, or architecturally significant projects & field experience as a foreman or superintendent

Soft Skills:

๐Ÿ”น Ownership Mentality: Thrives on full accountability for outcomes, not just task management
๐Ÿ”น High Emotional Intelligence: Calm under pressure, relationship-driven, and collaborative across all teams
๐Ÿ”น Builder First: Deep passion for quality craftsmanship and attention to detail
๐Ÿ”น Proactive Problem Solver: Anticipates issues early, drives solutions without drama
๐Ÿ”น Growth-Oriented: Excited to evolve into broader leadership roles as the company expands

Benefits:

  • Path to future leadership roles and ownership participation through ESOP.
  • Flexible work environment: combination of field and office time with a strong emphasis on work-life balance.
  • Insurance: 90% of employee premium and 50% of family premium covered under the California Choice Group Health Insurance (Kaiser Gold Plan).
  • Retirement: 401(k) plan with 4% employer match, plus participation in an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) with annual stock distributions.
  • Vehicle: Company vehicle or $600/month auto allowance, plus reimbursement for business fuel expenses.
  • Paid Time Off: 10 days PTO annually (increasing to 15 days after five years), 5 days sick leave, and 8 paid holidays per year.
  • Bonus: Annual performance bonus paid each January, tied to project performance.
