Billing & AR Specialist
Fox Landscape & Irrigation is seeking a focused and detail-oriented Billing & AR Specialist to join their growing team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives behind the scenes—handling billing cycles, tracking receivables, and supporting accounts payable operations. You’ll work closely with the owner and the senior AP lead, helping streamline one of the most critical functions of the business. With rapid growth and high-profile clientele, this is an opportunity to step into a core financial role at a company known for delivering best-in-class, custom landscape work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and process custom client invoices based on time and materials reports.
- Support the owner in converting project data into clear, professional billing narratives.
- Monitor accounts receivable, track aging invoices, and assist with collections.
- Provide backup support to the AP lead, including data entry, coding invoices, and reconciling timecards.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure billing accuracy and timely submissions.
- Maintain billing files and records, and respond to vendor and internal inquiries.
- Assist in system maintenance and potential transition to new software platforms.
Hard Skills:
- Experience in billing, accounts receivable, or accounts payable.
- Comfortable working with legacy software (experience with American Contractor a plus but not required).
- Strong written communication skills to produce clear invoice descriptions.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficient in data entry and reconciliation.
Soft Skills:
- Introverted and focused work style; thrives in quiet, detail-heavy tasks.
- Self-motivated and reliable; takes initiative without requiring micromanagement.
- Ability to follow through on daily, monthly, and quarterly billing tasks with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to learn construction/landscape terminology and billing processes.
- Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
